RMF is commissioned through WMCA Adult Education budget, directly and in partnership with Solihull College, to create upskilling opportunities
for residents aged 19+ with barriers to work. We follow the CPCS pathway for construction, and deliver the NVQ Level 2 for rail.
Following the Deeper Devolution Deal, which granted them further control on the development of transport, skills, and housing in the West Midlands, WMCA now has further control in the delegation of financial investment, including the Adult Education Budget.
The Adult Education Budget has enabled the delivery of our equine management course from its launch, and is instrumental in its continued success as a unique training opportunity for West Midlands residents with barriers to work. The course offers genuine progression pathways in the equine industry, often inclusive of accommodation and further training, forming an appealing offering for residents seeking a complete change in circumstances and lifestyle.
