THE COMMONWEALTH GAMES
We were proud to be part of the construction of the Alexandra Stadium for the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022. Taking apart alongside other local businesses, it was a roaring success for generating new jobs and boosting morale across the West Midlands region.
HS2
As a labour supplier for Murphy, we were part of Phase 1 of the HS2 project, successfully training candidates for foreman and site supervisor roles on the works from Long Itchington Wood near Kenilworth, into Birmingham city centre at Curzon Street. The £500 million project held significance for our labourers, allowing them to work on a key transport project for their local region..
PERRY BARR RESIDENTIAL SCHEME
RMF Construction supplied labour to the Perry Barr residential scheme, creating much needed, affordable housing for local residents. Social infrastructure goes beyond the buildings – it creates community and belonging. As part of the scheme, programmes to increase women in construction and improve English of workers who speak a different first language were delivered.
HMP FOSSE WAY
We supply labour to Lendlease for the ongoing re-development of HMP Fosse Way in Glen Parva, Leicestershire, on behalf of the Ministry of Justice. The project scale saw the erection of 14000 concrete components in just 10 months, to ensure maximum security of the site.
EAST WEST RAIL
We supplied labour to Connection Stage 1 of the East West Rail project, designed to improve rail connections between Oxford and Bicester, and create even more economic growth in a dynamic area full of rich cultural heritage. The ongoing project will eventually create faster, cheaper routes from Oxford across to Cambridge.
SEVERN TRENTRESILIENCE PROJECT
We supplied labour to Barhale, to support the installation of a new water intake and pumping station in Stourbridge, and the laying of a water pipeline into Birmingham. The £300 million project ensured the continuous clean water supply across Birmingham.
BIRMINGHAM AIRPORT
We are a trusted partner to Vinci, supplying labour to large scale projects at Birmingham Airport. We are currently supplying to the £40 million project to construct a new security facility. This follows our successful involvement in the construction of an Inland Border Facility, part of an order by HMRC following UK’s exit from the EU.
